Who are we and what are our aims:
To record and document the distribution of fungi in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
Promote the conservation of fungi associated habitats.
Encourage a greater awareness and understanding of fungal conservation issues in the wider community.
If you are interested in observing and/or identifying the enormous variety of fungi that can be found in Cornwall then the Group is open to new members. There is no membership fee just bring your enthusiasm and interest in the fascinating kingdom of fungi.
Forays are arranged throughout the year at a variety of habitats and locations around the County. Whatever your level of knowledge you are very welcome to join, we aim to be inclusive and encouraging to all.

The Gaia Trust's Treraven Farm at Wadebridge SW997714, PL27 7JZ.
Park at Guineaport and walk up the footpath or drive up Trevanion Road from Wadebridge, turn left into Treraven Lane and follow it to the farm.
There will be a signposted hub in the woodland from where walks will start at 10.30 and 13.30, 20 people maximum on each walk, phone 01209 210281 to book a place. You can explore for yourselves the 170 acres of woodland and meadow, download a map from gaiatrust.org.uk . Share your finds at the hub where there will be leaflets and information on fungi.
Kids come and make your own fungus from air drying clay to take home and paint.
